House of Cards

We lean on, this house which is made of cards
And I feel the winds blowin her down
As we start to topple beneath the weight
Of 400 years of mistakes
I say oh, no no more

In poverty, I'm spoonfed a million hopes
Of prosperity, but they got me on the ropes
I work nine to five for table scraps
While my boss is getting fat
And pushin me for more and more
They say I'm free to walk out the door
And lose my home and lose my wife
Millions of us live this life
I say oh no no more

Desperately, we pursue our happiness
With knives in our backs, and our lives are just a mess
Of capitalistic degenerating advertised as compensating
Freedom loving, welfare hating, minimum wage,
Schools are fading, give me some dope, get me high
Show me again those points of light
No, no more
