She's Gone

The last time I saw you
You was dressed your best
And I said my goodbyes
And laid your body to rest
She could not be gone, but she was
And life, it just keeps keeping on
And now I'm just waitin alone
I'm waitin for my time to come

Well she put her self on a big jet plane,
Thought she'd start over
But luck, it has a funny way of leavin'
Deep in the heart was her new start,
She'd been there before but maybe things
Would be better this time around
She was gunned down
At the bottom of a flight of stairs,
I asked myself, why should I care?
And I dug deep inside to think about
All of the things I used to love

And I said, hey my baby,
I always thought you was crazy
But now that you're gone,
I‘ll admit my wrongs
But you knew how to make me mad
There were too many fights
Every night, can't go on

Well, the memories are fadin'
And I try to remember the good
But in life there was so little
And I always fall back on the hurt
She could not be gone, but she was
And life, it just keeps keeping on
And now I'm waitin alone,
I'm waitin for my time to come
